Bogart (Ga.) North Oconee four-star EDGE Khamari Brooks is down to three schools in his recruitment, he announced on Friday with On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Clemson, Alabama and Georgia are the remaining contenders for the 6-foot-4, 220-pounder.

Brooks is coming off a visit to Georgia earlier this month and has been a frequent visitor on UGA’s campus over the past year. After visiting Athens last weekend, he is expected to be at Alabama the weekend of February 1 and Clemson on March 8, he told On3’s Chad Simmons earlier this month.

He doesn’t plan to make a decision before his official visits this summer, but is now deciding between the Tigers, Crimson Tide and Bulldogs.

“I wouldn’t say I’m going to commit early, but I would say it probably will be sometime before the season starts next year,” Brooks told On3 in an interview in December. “… I feel like I’ve been blessed with many opportunities that I have right now.”

Brooks is the No. 109 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 12 EDGE and No. 14 recruit in the Peach State.

Brooks discusses his interest in Alabama, Clemson and Georgia

In his interview with Simmons, Brooks went in-depth on each of the programs in his top three:

Alabama: “Coach Christian Robinson has talked to me between three and four times a week. He’s been the guy that’s really stood out to me in terms of recruiting me the hardest throughout this fall. He texts me almost every day. He’s talking to me and showing me that I’m a big priority in the 2026 class for them. He’s the guy that has made Alabama stand out to me. I’ve been up there for games. They use the outside linebacker position in the way that I play it in high school, being able to drop back in coverage and moving down in some situations to play the middle linebacker position. They move around a lot in a similar way that I move around in high school.”

Clemson: “Talking to Dabo Swinney was a big thing for me. They’re one of those schools that doesn’t offer a lot of guys early. I think I’m maybe one of six or seven recruits at EDGE in the 2026 class that they’ve offered, so that’s a really big thing, knowing they don’t have a big group of guys that they’ve offered. Also, coach Chris Rumph is a great coach. He’s had a lot of guys go places in the NFL. He’s a great coach and a funny guy, but he gets to business when it’s time to work.”

Georgia: “The atmosphere at the Tennessee night game was probably one of the loudest, if not the loudest, I’ve been to all year. That atmosphere was great during the blackout game. In a good game like that, they came out, won that game and dominated.

… The physicality of that team, the way that they’re together and the way that they trust in one another on the defensive side of the ball is impressive,” he added. “You can tell that they go out there and they really trust one another to do their jobs. Also, they fight through adversity. They lost to Alabama and coming back from that, they came out dominant in their game against Texas a few weeks later. They showed that they’re able to overcome adversity fast, go into the next week and come out better and better each week.”
