Fort Pierce (Fla.) John Carroll four-star EDGE Wilky Denaud is down to four schools in his recruitment, he announced on Friday morning.

Denaud is the No. 311 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 37 EDGE and the No. 58 senior player in the state of Florida.

Among his top four are: Auburn, Florida State, Indiana and Tennessee.

“Wherever I end up, I’m going to compete,” Denaud told USAToday. “Me being the guy I am, I like to win at everything. That’s just who I am. It drives me. That’s my motivation. I like to be the best player on the field at all times.”

The 6-foot-4, 230-pounder narrowed down to those four from a list of 20-plus programs to extend him an offer. Denaud has yet to make any official visits, but did tell AuburnLive earlier this month that he has plans to official visits the Tigers, as well as Florida State and Tennessee.

Denaud was one of the top performers this spring at the Under Armour Next camp in Miami, jumping out to On3 Senior National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton.

“[He] flashed some tremendous first and second step movement, and an impressive long arm for a young prospect,” wrote Hamilton. “[Under Armour All-America Game and camps, college and NFL defensive line instructor] Nathan O’Neal was effusive in his praise of Denaud.

“Wilky Denaud is a potentially very special edge rusher,” O’Neal added. “He can bend like no other. His first step and second step explosion is outstanding. The power out of the ground after the second step, I think is what I like most about him.”
