Yelm (Wash.) four-star linebacker Brayden Platt has narrowed his list of top schools down to eight. That list includes Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas A&M, UCLA and USC.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pounder is the No. 225 overall prospect and No. 23 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Washington.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Oregon with a narrow lead over USC to land a commitment from Platt.

This spring has been a busy one for Platt. He’s visited USC (March 4), Oklahoma (April 4), Michigan State (April 11), Michigan (April 12) and is set to visit Oregon on April 22.

The trip to Oregon will be the second of the year for Platt who was in Eugene in January.

“My thoughts on Oregon are very good,” Platt told On3 following that visit. “I’m liking them quite a bit. I love the staff. (Tosh) Lupoi and (Dan) Lanning and them trying to bring the competitive culture to the West Coast.

“The visit was really good and I had a great time. My favorite part was probably getting to know the coach and it was really good talking to them.

Platt currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $63K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
