4-star LB DaQuives Beck down to three schools

It’s down to three schools for Carthage (Texas) four-star linebacker DaQuives Beck.
The 6-foot, 190-pounder told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Sunday afternoon that Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M are his final three schools.
Beck is the No. 151 overall prospect and No. 9 LB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 23 player in Texas.
Texas A&M continues to trend for the in-state standout, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Since February, three picks have been logged in favor of Mike Elko and the Aggies keeping Beck in the Lone Star State.
“It is a nice environment to be in. Since coach Elko got there, I have seen a big difference in the program,” Beck told On3’s Chad Simmons in February. “I like coach Elko, coach Bateman and coach Trooper a lot. They have shown me that they really want me there.”
“Coach Elko is a defensive guy too. He has developed players and they are a school up there for sure,” he added.
Beck took an official visit to Oklahoma State in early April. Mike Gundy and the Cowboys have long stood out to the blue-chipper, too. His Texas A&M official visit is scheduled for the weekend of June 13.

Oklahoma officially entered the fold with an offer in February. The staff in Norman has caught Beck’s attention.
“I like the coaches there. The head coach is a defensive coach… I like the schemes they run,” he previously said.
Leading Carthage to a state title in 2024, Beck racked up 102 total tackles, five sacks and more than 30 QB pressures. The Bulldogs won 16 games and finished as the No. 22 team in Texas, per the On3 Composite Rankings.
“Playing time and the defensive scheme, those are the two biggest things for me,” Beck said. “I look at the future … how is a school going to be next year or in the next two years when I go there?”
