4-star LB Justin Medlock decommits from Miami

Manvel (Texas) four-star linebacker Justin Medlock has decommitted from Miami in the wake of the program’s coaching change.

The Hurricanes fired Manny Diaz on Monday and hired Oregon coach and Miami alumnus Mario Cristobal.

Justin Medlock is the No. 393 overall player and No. 41 linebacker in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Medlock committed to the Hurricanes in July.

“I have committed to Miami and that official visit did have a lot to do with it,” Medlock told On3’s Chad Simmons at the time. “The vibe was great and I left knowing that was going to be a top school for me.
