4-star PG Richard Isaacs Jr. cuts list to 4
The No. 70 overall player in the Class of 2022 On3 100, Richard Isaacs Jr. told On3 he is down to four schools.
The 6-foot-2 point guard from Prolific Prep (Calif.) High School has cut his list to Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Arizona State and UNLV.
Richard Isaacs Jr. has taken official visits to both Oklahoma State and Arizona State and an unofficial visit to UNLV. An official visit to Texas Tech is currently in the works, as both sides are still deciding on a date.
Isaacs discusses each school with On3.
Oklahoma State
“Oklahoma State was my first official visit and it was an amazing visit,” Isaacs said. “Me and Coach (Mike) Boynton clicked right away, as well as the rest of the staff. I was the first visitor on campus when things opened back up so that says something. We obviously saw what they did with Cade (Cunningham) this past year. It’s a free-flowing offense that I know I can fit in.”

Texas Tech
“Texas Tech is an amazing school,” Isaacs said. “I have a great relationship with Coach (Sean) Sutton. Him and Coach (Mark) Adams tell me how I fit perfectly with what they’re trying to do up there. Over these past few weeks, they have really been making me a priority.”
Arizona State
“Arizona State is an amazing place as well,” Isaacs said. “It’s not far from home at all, and I have a great relationship with the staff. Me and Coach (Bobby) Hurley, along with Coach (Joel) Justus have a great relationship. My visit up there went great and it would be great learning from Bobby Hurley, who played my position.”
UNLV
“UNLV is home,” Isaacs said. “They have a new staff and a new head coach in Coach (Kevin) Kruger. Me and Coach Kruger had a great relationship while he was at Oklahoma, with his dad (Lon Kruger). He was the first person to offer me a scholarship to a Power 5 school. They also coached Trae Young and that’s my favorite player. UNLV is home and you can’t really go wrong with that.”
