4-star PG Silas Demary Jr. announces commitment date
Charlotte (N.C.) Combine Academy four-star point guard Silas Demary Jr. will announce his college commitment October 7 at 3 pm ET.
Demary is choosing between NC State, VCU and USC, among other schools.
The On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — has Demary as the No. 70 overall recruit in the country. On3 ranks him higher as the No. 61 prospect and No. 8 point guard in the country.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $11.4k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Wolfpack the best chance of landing Demary at around 88%. NC State is also On3 National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw’s favorite for Demary.

“Demary is from Raleigh, about ten miles away from NC State’s campus. Even though they came in late and did not offer the hometown four-star until late July, they have let Demary know he is their guy,” Shaw said.
“By all accounts, the official visit went well, and there is a growing comfort level from Demary’s end with the program. (Head coach Kevin) Keatts is also known for giving his guards a lot of freedom with the ball.”
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
