4-star QB Bowe Bentley names top 3 schools

Celina (Texas) four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley is ready to take the next step in his recruitment — naming his top three schools on Sunday.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder is now focused on just LSU, Oklahoma and Georgia, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Bentley has also locked in official visits to each of those programs; he will see the Bulldogs June 6-8, Sooners June 13-15 and Tigers June 20-22.
Bentley is the No. 91 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 9 quarterback and the No. 13 recruit in Texas.
On3 is slightly higher on him than other services, tabbing him as the country’s No. 47 recruit, No. 5 signal-caller and No. 4 recruit in the Lone Star State.
Bentley has taken recent visits to each program
He is coming off visits to each of his three finalists, with Georgia being the most recent.
“Georgia was as good of a visit as any of them – and their practice was the best I saw on the trip,” he told On3’s Steve Wiltfong earlier this month. “Had a great conversation with Coach Smart. Love his intensity and his competitiveness is like mine.”

The Tigers also hosted him for the first time in March.
“I’ve gotten to know Coach Sloan well over the past couple months, we talk nearly every night and he is a really genuine good guy,” he told Wiltfong. “He and LSU have had amazing success developing quarterbacks and that’s one of my priorities. They have something special there.”
The Sooners, meanwhile, have had him on campus multiple times in the past few months and have been on him the longest.
“I feel good [about Oklahoma] leaving this visit,” Bentley told On3’s Chad Simmons after his most recent trip. “One of the biggest takeaways from this visit was how much of a priority I am to them and how they are being patient with my time.
As a junior en route to a Texas state title, Bentley carved up defenses to the tune of 3,330 yards passing and 47 touchdowns, completing 70 percent of his throws. He added another 933 yards rushing and 16 more scores.
