4-star QB Malik Washington earns Elite 11 Finals invite
Baltimore Archbishop Spalding four-star quarterback Malik Washington is one of the top uncommitted signal-callers in the 2025 cycle. He added a major notch in his belt on Tuesday.
Washington is now set to join some of the top quarterbacks in the nation this summer in Los Angeles, as he’s earned an invitation of the Elite 11 Finals. He was a top performer at the State College regional last weekend.
There are few higher honors for high school quarterbacks than being invited to the Elite 11 Finals. The event, which will celebrate its 25th year in 2024, brings together the country’s elite signal-callers for three days of competition and training in Los Angeles.
Elite 11 alumni include Carson Palmer, Andrew Luck, Matthew Stafford, Tim Tebow, and more recently Trevor Lawrence, C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young and more. Last year’s Elite 11 Finals featured more than a dozen of the top 20 quarterbacks in the final On3 Industry Rankings, including each of the top five players at the position.
Washington joins 14 previous invitees: USC commit Julian Lewis, Ohio State pledge Tavien St. Clair, Notre Dame commit Deuce Knight, Texas A&M commit Husan Longstreet, Texas commit K.J. Lacey, SMU commit Keelon Russell, Oklahoma commit Kevin Sperry, Florida State pledge Tramell Jones, North Carolina commit Bryce Baker, Missouri commit Matt Zollers, Georgia pledge Ryan Montgomery, TCU commit Ty Hawkins, Tennessee pledge George MacIntyre and Nebraska commit TJ Lateef.

Washington down to six schools in his recruitment
Washington is the No. 271 overall prospect and No. 23 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 player in Maryland.
Back in January, Washington named his top six schools. Maryland, Oregon, Penn State, Syracuse, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech all made the cut for the blue-chipper.
“I will definitely take my official visits before I commit to a school,” Washington told On3. “Once I commit, I want to be committed and not visit any other schools. The official visits will be important because I just want to see what coaches are honest with me, where I am on their board and just see how coaches feel about me.”
