4-star RB Anthony Rogers commits to Ohio State

Montgomery (Ala.) Carver four-star running back Anthony Rogers backed off his pledge to Alabama earlier this fall after being committed to the Crimson Tide for almost a year and a half.
That decommitment came after a visit to Ohio State and the Buckeyes have landed a commitment from the No. 162 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking.
“Ohio State fits me,” Rogers told On3. “They have a great history with running backs. Ohio State always has great backs, they put them in a position to be successful and that always stood out to me. Their system, how they produce and the fit stand out most about Ohio State.”
Carlos Locklynn was a factor as well. He is from Alabama, he connects with the Rogers family and his resume helped the Big Ten program in Columbus land this commitment.

“Coach Lock is a great guy. He recruited me hard as soon as he got there and he made me feel like a guy he wanted. We have a real relationship and he knows how to coach backs up and make them successful. He has recruited me hard, I see an opportunity to play for him early and it will be great to be in his room.”
Rogers is the No. 11 running back in the country, No. 12 prospect in Alabama and he is a versatile athlete who can play in the backfield or work out of the slot.
