4-star RB Carsyn Baker commits to Florida: 'It is a great place for me to be'

Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes running back Carsyn Baker had a meeting with Jabbar Juluke during the spring evaluation period. After that meeting, the four-star locked in an official visit and it really set things in motion for the Gators.
After the official visit in May, Florida was on the top of Baker’s list, and after returning to campus this weekend, he has committed to Billy Napier and Co.
“That official visit really set the standard for me,” Baker told On3. “I canceled my official visit to Clemson, then I canceled my official visit to Ohio State and Florida was the school for me. When I was on my visit and saw the relationships between the staff and the players, I saw how well I got along with the team and just want coach Juluke could do with me, I had a good feeling.”
Those feelings never changed. He took an official visit to Florida State, and he had a good time in Tallahassee, but the Gators were still on top.
“The brotherhood really stood out to me. That was a big part of my commitment. I the the guys on the team, how they work with the coaches and there is a great vibe at Florida. The staff is great, they always make me feel welcome and I feel I can make a big impact there. It is a great place for me to be.”

Baker is excited about where Florida is headed
The No. 135 in the On300 feels he can make a big impact in big games. He is a believer in Napier and where the program is headed. “
“Coach Napier is a great coach and he is building something at Florida,” Baker said. “Florida will be contending for national championships and will be hard to stop in the coming years. The roster they have this season and the recruiting class coming has Florida on the right track.”
Juluke will be the coach Baker spends the most time with and he has confidence he can get him where he wants to be.
“Coach Juluke is great. He knows how to coach, he has a lot of experience and he can develop players. Who he is in not an act, his players love him and I love our relationship. He coaches how I want to be coached.”
