4-star RB Kory Amachree names top six schools

Six contenders have emerged for one of the top high school football prospects in the state of Michigan this cycle.
On Friday, Lansing (Mich.) Haslett four-star running back Kory Amachree announced via Instagram that he’s down to Duke, Harvard, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan State and Pitt.
The 6-foot, 195-pounder is the No. 367 overall prospect and No. 26 RB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in Michigan.
On3 ranks him higher than other recruiting services. According to the On300, Amachree is the No. 244 recruit overall, No. 22 RB and No. 4 player in Michigan.
Playing in just six games as a junior, Amachree still managed to compile 1,394 total yards and 19 touchdowns. Haslett won eight games last season and finished as a top-75 team in the state, per the On3 Composite Rankings.
Hoosiers and Spartans among those battling for Amachree
Earlier this weekend, Amachree caught up with On3’s Steve Wiltfong and dished on his interest in both Indiana and Michigan State. The Hoosiers recently had the blue-chipper in for an official visit and he enjoyed his time in Bloomington.

“I had a great time connecting with Coach Miller and Coach Juice,” Amachree said. “I’m extremely excited that I have the opportunity to be able to play with such great of a coaching staff. It was good to hear how Coach Cig thought I would fit into the offense.”
The Spartans will get the local star back to campus for an OV on the weekend of May 30. Head coach Jonathan Smith and his staff aren’t keen on letting the RB leave his home state and will continue to push heading into the summer.
“I love the staff, and feel like they could develop me into a great back,” Amachree has previously said.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently favors Michigan State. Kansas has also had Amachree in for an official visit and remains in the mix moving forward. A June OV to Pitt is also on the docket.
