4-star RB Ramon Brown flips from Virginia Tech to Maryland
Maryland has pulled off a coup the day before the early signing period begins, flipping Midlothian (Va.) Manchester four-star running back Ramon Brown from Virginia Tech.
Brown originally committed to the Hokies on July 9.
He is the No. 282 overall player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the 20th-best running back in the nation and 10th-best player from the state of Virginia.

The Hokies had the No. 32 overall recruiting class in the nation before Brown’s flip. He was also the second-highest commit in the class after Daleville (Va.) Lord Botetourt four-star interior offensive lineman Gunner Givens.
Brown is now the second-highest rated recruit in the Terrapins class in Monroe (N.C.) four-star wide receiver Shaleak Knotts.
