4-star safety Jordan Young returns to Clemson with commitment looming
Monroe (N.C.) four-star safety Jordan Young is set to announce his commitment on Nov. 2.
With just two Saturdays left until he comes off the board, the 6-foot defensive back is back in Death Valley taking another visit to Clemson. The Tigers picked up a win over Virginia to improve to 6-1 as they battle NC State, Florida State and Michigan for Young’s pledge.
Young has been a frequent visitor on Clemson’s campus throughout his recruitment. In addition to taking in the in-game atmosphere, he’s also been in for multiple spring trips as well as a summer official visit. Dabo Swinney and Co. have made a major impression on the four-star and will look to close on his commitment in two weeks’ time.
“I have visited Clemson around 9-10 times now,” Young told On3’s Chad Simmons earlier this week. “They have been recruiting me for a long time now and they have been doing a great job at it.”
Young visited NC State last weekend and is also scheduled to return to Ann Arbor to see Michigan one more time next weekend. The in-state Wolfpack are heavily trending, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
Young is the No. 178 overall prospect and No. 14 safety in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in North Carolina.
