4-star safety Kelvin Hunter names top five schools
Florence (S.C.) West Florence four-star safety Kelvin Hunter is down to five schools in his recruitment, he announced Saturday.
Among the contenders are: Appalachian State, Auburn, Michigan, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
Hunter is the No. 253 overall prospect and No. 22 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 22 safety and the No. 4 recruit in South Carolina.
On3 rates Hunter higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is a four-star recruit, the No. 190 overall prospect, No. 20 safety and No. 5 player in South Carolina.
