Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie four-star safety Xavier Lherisse has committed to Oregon.

He chose the Ducks over Notre Dame, Alabama, Auburn and more than a dozen other offers.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder is the No. 326 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 27 safety and the No. 48 recruit in the state of Florida.

He recently set official visits to Auburn, Oregon, Florida State and Notre Dame. But with his pledge, the trips to those other schools are now in doubt.

“Oregon is just different,” Lherisse recently told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “I went out there for a game this past season and they shot up to the top of my list. They treat me like a priority and I love that. Coach Lanning and the whole staff have developed relationships with my family, which I really appreciate.”

He now joins a Ducks class that currently holds 10 commitments and the No. 1 spot in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The group is headlined by a pair of five-stars — tight end Kendre Harrison and offensive tackle Kodi Greene — it features players from seven different states.

Lherisse is coming off a junior season where he starred on both sides of the ball for Eau Gallie. As a receiver, he hauled in 53 passes for 776 yards and nine touchdowns. And on defense, he racked up 41 total tackles, six interceptions and three more pass breakups.
