Aleks Alston is one of the few remaining uncommitted recruits in the 2025 class. The 6-foot-8 small forward out of Kenwood Academy (Chicago, IL) tells On3 the following schools are currently recruiting him (in no particular order): Kansas State, Texas A&M, Gonzaga, California, Arizona State, Tulsa, Memphis, LSU, and Indiana. He is also in contact with KK Mega Basket, a professional club in Serbia.

Alston says he plans to schedule visits following the high school season. He unofficially visited the following programs back in 2023: Michigan State, Illinois, Xavier, Tennessee, Ohio State, and Indiana.

He is the No. 112 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 24 power forward prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Alston was a standout at the Pangos All-American Camp this summer, according to On3’s Jamie Shaw:

Aleks Alston has excellent positional size with long arms. He is a scorer and at 6-foot-7, would prefer to face the basket and take jump shots. The lefty has a consistent release and smooth shooting touch. He also played aggressively in the passing lanes and finished in transition. He had a game of 22 and a game of 15 points showcasing his scoring prowess. Now he needs to continue to diversify his offensive game and continue to develop the handle. There is an upside here and he had a solidly productive camp.
