Kelvin Odih, a four-star shooting guard in the 2025 class, has committed to West Virginia and head coach Darian DeVries, he told On3.

The 6-foot-4 senior out of SoCal Academy (CA) ultimately chose the Mountaineers over Rutgers, but also received offers from Creighton, Colorado, Louisville, Oklahoma State, and others.

According to On3’s Top 150 Player Rankings, Odih is ranked as the No. 53 overall prospect in the class. He’s also the No. 12 shooting guard and the No. 6 player in Colorado.

“My visit was great,” Odih told On3. “The program was very family oriented they were very honest and straight up with me. The facilities were incredible. They plan on me coming in there right away and having an impact playing the one through the three for them.”

Odih had a good experience with the West Virginia head coach as well.

Coach (Darian) DeVries is a person who is just straightforward and I truly respect that. I think I fit very well with their play style. They play fast, get out in transition, and cut and move a lot off-ball.”

Scouting Report

“Toughness. That is the word you walk away thinking after watching Kelvin Odih play. Standing in the 6-foot-4, maybe 6-foot-5 range, with long arms and a projectable frame, Odih is comfortable offensively playing on or off the ball. He can touch the paint and make a play, or play off the ball and score. He will need to continue smoothing out his jump shot form from three, becoming more consistent, but he has a consistent mid-range pull-up game and he can be electric at the rim getting downhill. Defensively, Odih has a high upside. He has the length and twitch to guard multiple positions along the perimeter, sliding his feet at the point of attack, or aggressively cutting off angles in the passing lanes at either wing spot. While he will need to continue cleaning up some reads and the three-point shooting, Odih does a lot of things that help in winning, a lot of the tough-guy stuff you do not often find players wanting to do.” – On3’s Senior National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw
