Center Valley (Penn.) Southern Lehigh four-star tight end Andrew Olesh holds offers from nearly 30 programs. He will be focusing on eight of them going forward.

Olesh has announced Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Missouri, Ole Miss, Penn State and Pittsburgh as his top schools. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound recruit has seen each of his finalists except for the Tigers, but plans to take an unofficial visit to Columbia later this month.

“From those eight schools, I have really gotten along with the coaches when I’ve talked with them over the phone or in person,” Olesh told On3. “They’ve gone over the film and how I would fit into their offensive scheme. I really like all of these schools because of the relationships, how they would use me in their offense and the education.”

One school already has ‘a little bit of an edge’ for Olesh

Olesh wants to take as many official visits “as possible” and plans to use five or six of them in June. So far, the No. 4 player in Pennsylvania is set for officials at Alabama from May 31-June 2, Penn State from June 14-16 and Michigan from June 21-23.

The Nittany Lions already “have a little bit of an edge” for Olesh because he has visited Penn State more than any other school. But right now, each of the four-star’s top eight schools are on equal footing with one another.

“I’m going to go to all of these schools and take official visits,” said Olesh, the No. 87 overall prospect and No. 4 tight end in the 2025 On300. “I want to see where the best atmosphere is and where it feels like home. Of my top eight schools, I want to visit as many as possible. The more I go, the better, so I can see all the different atmospheres. That’s the main thing for me.

“I’ve been telling a lot of guys that I’m not a huge portal guy, so I want to stay somewhere for three-to-four years. I don’t want to transfer out, so I really want to pick a school that has a good atmosphere, feels like home and that I can help win.”

Olesh’s commitment is coming soon

Olesh is hoping to announce his commitment late in the summer. Yet he has not ruled out pushing back his decision if he wants to visit a school that he has not been to.

Before revealing his college destination, Olesh plans to make one more big announcement in his recruitment.

“Most likely in the next month or two, I think I’m going to cut my list to a top four and then, I’ll go from there and commit after that,” Olesh said. “Once there’s a top four, I’ll commit from those four.”
