4-star TE Xavier Tiller down to three schools

Over three months after decommitting from Texas A&M, Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star tight end Xavier Tiller has re-narrowed his list of top schools down to three.
The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Friday that he is down to Alabama, Auburn and Florida State.
Tiller is the No. 220 overall prospect and No. 11 TE in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 22 player in Georgia.
Official visits have been locked in with Tiller’s trio of finalists already. He’ll return to Tuscaloosa on the weekend of May 30, then hit Auburn and Tallahassee the next two weekends on June 6 and June 13.
USC was another program that had previously locked in an OV, but the Trojans did not make Tiller’s latest cut. Louisville and Ole Miss were others looking to crack his list of contenders.
Auburn has the edge for Tiller in the On3 RPM
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Auburn is the favorite to land the blue-chipper. Back in February, On3’s Steve Wiltfong logged a pick in favor of the Tigers flipping Tiller away from Texas A&M.
“Auburn for sure is one of my top schools,” Tiller recently told On3’s Chad Simmons. “Coach Ben (Aigamaua)and coach Freeze are on me hard. Coach Ben is on me every day. He talks about needing me and not just wanting me. Coach Freeze is pushing harder now too.”

That’s not to rule out the Tide or the Seminoles, however. Both programs have also been in contact with Tiller this year and both are ready to make some major in-person impressions this summer.
“I was last at Alabama for a game in the season and I like everything about them,” Tiller said of Kalen DeBoer’s program. “Who wouldn’t want to go to Alabama? They win, they develop players and they will have a strong season this year.
“I was at Florida State in January and I met coach (Mike) Norvell and the staff in person,” he added about FSU. “As soon as I got there, they yelled my name and it was great. I like how Florida State runs 12 and 13 personnel. I learned about their offense on the visit.”
The plan for Tiller has been to be committed once again before the beginning of his senior campaign for Langston Hughes, one of the top high school football programs in the Peach State. With three finalists named, he’s one step closer to accomplishing that goal.
“Whoever gets my heart will get me,” Tiller said. “Development is important too, but I am big on relationships.”
