4-star wideout Braylon James teases commitment
Del Valle (Texas) four-star wide receiver Braylon James said Wednesday on Twitter that he is going to be committing soon.
He is the No. 109 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Notre Dame is the favorite for the James, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. The Fighting Irish have a 91.2% chance of landing the four-star wide receiver.
Texas, LSU and Texas A&M are also in the running, but way at the back of the pack.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Three different experts have put in predictions for James to Notre Dame.
James told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons that academics are going to play a key part in his recruitment.
“It is about 65-35% football to academics for me,” James said. “Football is not forever and I compete in the classroom just like football field.”
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $20k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
