4-star WR Adrian Wilson decommits from Arizona State, trending to Colorado
Pflugerville (Texas) Weiss four-star wide receiver Adrian Wilson has decommitted from Arizona State, he announced on Wednesday night.
Wilson had been committed to the Sun Devils since April, when he chose them over Oklahoma, Baylor, SMU and more than a dozen other reported offers.
He had also previously been committed to Oregon, but backed off that pledge in March, as well as TCU, who held his commitment from June to July 2023.
“I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity to be part of your program. After careful consideration and reflection, I have decided to decommit from Arizona State University,” he wrote on Twitter. “Re-opening my recruitment was not an easy decision, as I hold a great deal of respect for the coaching staff and the vision you have for the program.
… I believe this choice is necessary for my personal and athletic growth, and I wish nothing but the best for the team and the future of ASU. I will always cherish the connections I’ve made and the experiences I’ve had during this process. Thank you for your understanding.”
The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder is the No. 257 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 35 receiver and No. 38 recruit in the Lone Star State.

He is expected to visit Colorado this weekend for the Buffaloes’ game against Cincinnati and has become a top flip target of theirs, according to On3’s Steve Wiltfong.
Both Wiltfong and On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons have logged expert predictions in favor of the Buffaloes in the Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
“Getting to meet the people that are on campus,” Wilson said of what he looks forward to. “Getting to ask Travis (Hunter) questions. And getting to watch an air-raid offense. That aren’t too many air-raids in college football anymore.”
On the year, Wilson has hauled in 26 receptions into 601 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging over 23 yards per catch. That follows a junior season where he caught 60 passes for 1,003 yards and 14 scores.
