Ohio State made the top four for Red Oak (Texas) four-star wide receiver Brayden Robinson back in March, but the Buckeyes are no longer set to him back to Columbus this summer.

Robinson had previously locked in an official visit with the Buckeyes for the weekend of June 13, but on Saturday, the pass-catcher announced on X that he will no longer take that OV. His official visit schedule will begin on May 30 at Arizona, while Miami (June 6) and Notre Dame (June 20) are also set to get him back to campus.

The Fighting Irish are currently trending for Robinson, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. He was back in South Bend last month and the ND staff is pushing hard for the 5-foot-8 blue-chipper.

Robinson is the No. 336 overall prospect and No. 51 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 43 player in Texas.

As a junior for Red Oak, Robinson logged 79 receptions and turned them into 1,408 yards and 15 touchdowns. The Hawks won seven games in 2024 and finished as the No. 119 team in the Lone Star State, per the On3 Composite Rankings.

Earlier this month, Ohio State landed a commitment from Inglewood (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star WR Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, the No. 86 recruit and No. 12 receiver in the nation. He’s already announced that his recruitment is “shut down,” too. The same can be said for his Mater Dei teammate and fellow Ohio State commit, five-star WR Chris Henry Jr., the No. 20 recruit and No. 3 WR nationally. Henry has been committed since 2023. The OSU class also features Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial four-star WR Jaeden Ricketts.

Robinson talks top four schools

Upon naming his finalists back in March, Robinson broke down what has his contenders at the top of the list with On3’s Steve Wiltfong:

Arizona: “Coach Wade has been in the league and played at a high level and knows what it takes to get there and with Coach Dodge coming from Marshall they’re gonna be throwing the ball a lot more.”

Miami: “Coach Beard is just different even through they just offered me in January the way we talk consistently it feels like i’ve known him for years and he develops at a high level, and with Coach Dawson being the OC I know  i’ll be utilized the right way as he has coached guys like Tank Dell and Xavier Restrepo in the past . Also me being looked at as the next Devin Hester in the return game by Coach Kalter  speaks volumes!

Notre Dame: “I find it hard to not thrive in Coach Denbrock’s offense with his creativity and having Coach Freeman and Coach Brown constantly letting me know I’m a top priority at such a prestigious school is a blessing and a degree from Notre Dame is up there competing with the Ivy league schools.”

Ohio State: “Having the opportunity to play for Coach Hartline and Coach Day speaks for itself. The production at the receiver position is one of one and with Coach Hartline being the OC I can see the production being taken to an even higher level.”
