Homestead (Fla.) wide receiver Cortez Mills has a long list of offers. The four-star took official visits to Clemson, Florida, LSU, Nebraska and Oklahoma. He is now planning to commit to one of those schools next week.

“I will announce my commitment on July 1,” Mills told On3. “It is down to those five schools I took official visits to and I will commit to one soon.”

Mills is not ready to make that decision just yet. The No. 104 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking will be when that time comes though.

“I am really still thinking about these schools and which is best for me. I still have to figure some things out. When I make the decision, it will be about who I trust the most, who I feel can develop me on and the off the field and where I feel most at home. That is what I am working to figure out this week.”

Cortez Mills Recruit Profile

The 6-foot-0.5, 165-pound Mills is the nation’s No. 105 overall prospect, No. 12 wide receiver and No. 15 recruit from Florida in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Mills was On3’s MVP at the Under Armour Miami camp back in March. On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote this about Mills’ performance.

Cortez Mills was the clear standout among a stacked wide receiver group at Under Armour Miami. The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder was the top pass-catcher on hand throughout drills and 1-on-1’s. We didn’t see Mills effectively covered all day with several of his reps in 1-on-1s resulting in emphatic wins. Mills is a smooth technician with natural wiggle and shake within his routes. He consistently breaks off defenders at the route stem. We saw him break two different defensive backs’s ankles in 1-on-1’s. Mills followed that up with a eye-popping contested catch, out-leaping the corner to come down with a high-point grab – perhaps the most impressive catch we saw on the day.

“Mills’ showing on Sunday backs up his play on Friday nights. He’s among the most productive high school receivers in the 2025 cycle, catching 79 passes for 1,640 yards and 18 touchdowns while leading Homestead (Fla.) High to a state title appearance. Mills, who ranks as the No. 153 in the On300 has official visits scheduled for Clemson (May 31), Florida (June 7), Nebraska (June 14) and Miami (June 21).”
