It’s going to be a Signing Day decision for On3 Consensus four-star wide receiver Darrius Clemons of Portland (Ore.) Westview.

Clemons, who is 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, announced on social media he will make his commitment announcement and then sign with his school of choice at 3 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

Clemons lists his final five as Auburn, Miami, Michigan, Oregon and Penn State. He took official visits to Auburn, Oregon, Michigan, USC and Penn State. The final official visit was to Michigan this past weekend, and there’s some indication the Wolverines are trending with his recruitment.

“Michigan reached out to Darrius a couple of times throughout the season,” Larry Clemons, Darrius’ father, told The Wolverine. “Andrel (Anthony) and Darrius are good friends. He had one visit left, and Michigan was a school that he felt like he needed to go out and see on an official visit.

“Just looking at how things have sequenced over the last couple of weeks, he became more in tune with seeing himself as a fit there as far as a need standpoint. Michigan has always been in the back of his mind. He always kept things open with Michigan.”

Darrius Clemons’ recruitment has taken twists, turns

At one point in the process, it looked like Auburn had taken the lead in the battle to land Darrius Clemons. Then Oregon moved out into the lead. But the coaching change in Oregon has given other schools the opportunity to make a move.

Darrius Clemons is ranked as the N0. 98 player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The On3 Consensus also ranks Clemons as the No. 13 receiver and the top overall player in Oregon.

On3 is a bit higher on Darrius Clemons than the industry. On3 ranks Clemons as the 47th-best player in the country and the fifth-ranked receiver.

Darius Clemons has football in his blood. His father played receiver at Florida under coach Steve Spurrier in the late 1990s.
