Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star wide receiver Donovan Olugbode told On3’s Chad Simmons earlier this month that FloridaMissouriOregonUSC and Washington were among the schools he heard from the most.

A week later, he has officially named those programs as the top five programs in his recruitment, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Olugbode is coming off an official visit to Washington over the weekend, and will visit the Trojans from May 31-June 2 and the Gators from June 14-16. Olugbode also plans to officially visit the Tigers on the weekend of May 25 and the Ducks at a date to be determined.

“Going into the OVs, they’re all pretty equal,” Olugbode told Simmons before his visit to Seattle. “I don’t really have a top school, and I haven’t visited Washington yet, so it is hard to compare I do know I will commit to one of these schools when I make my decision after these visits.”

A few key factors will go into his decision, which he plans to make closer to his senior season.

“Development and coaching are very important to me,” said Olugbode, the No. 172 overall prospect and No. 21 wide receiver in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. “I want to look for a great head coach and see how the offense a school runs translates to the NFL and fits with my game.”

Olugbode breaks down top five programs

In his interview with Simmons, Olugbode broke down each of the five schools he’s still considering.

Florida: “I like the coaches there. I get a lot of love from coach Billy Napier and the staff. I like the way that Billy Gonzales, their wide receivers coach, develops the wide receiver position. They are telling me that I could definitely be able to play early there. They think I can help them change the program for the better and help them do good things.”

Missouri: “They are another program that would allow me to play early, get in a good role as a freshman and develop my game. Coach Jacob Peeler, he coached D.K. Metcalf and A.J. Brown when he was at Ole Miss. I think he and Brian Hartline are tied for sending the most receivers to the league. I like how they scheme up defenses and get the ball to their playmakers. They are going to have no problem with that going forward because they just got a top quarterback recruit in Matt Zollers. He’s consistent about getting me up there to Mizzou.”

Oregon: “I really like their offense and how they develop players. Their passing offense is really good. They throw the ball a lot. I think they had a top-five offense in passing yards last year, so their offense is explosive and what you can do in that system is impressive.”

USC: “They are telling me how they can use me in their offense. They love my game and it could translate really well to their offense. I talk to coach Dennis Simmons and coach Lincoln Riley. What Lincoln Riley can do as a play-caller and an offensive mind is big. I know he’s going to have a good quarterback in that system regardless, whether it’s a recruit or someone from the portal. He’s always going to have a good guy throwing the ball.”

Washington: “I like their offense and how it is changing. This visit is definitely big to see where they are in my top schools. I visited Arizona twice when this staff was there, so I am looking forward to my experience at Washington.”
