4-star WR Marquez Daniel names top 6 schools

Tuskegee (Ala.) Booker T Washington four-star wide receiver Marquez Daniel is down to six schools in his recruitment, he announced on Friday.
After pulling in more than two dozen reported offers, he will now focus his attention on Florida, Auburn, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas and Miami. The 6-foot-5, 187-pounder already has official visits locked in with the Tigers and Gators during June, and more could potentially be on the way.
Daniels is coming off a pair of recent visits to Auburn in the past month and also made a stop at Florida during the month of March.
The Tigers in particular have made a strong impression recently and got him in town for back-to-back visits, including for their Big Cat Weekend event. Prior to that, he stopped on The Plains for spring practice and liked what he saw.
“It was a great practice,” he told AuburnLive.com. “(Coach Davis) is a cool guy. He’ll go celebrate every time you do something good. He’s a funny guy and will tell you the truth. And Coach (Hugh) Freeze is a great dude.”

Florida, meanwhile, has been pursuing him heavily over the past year. He estimates he’s been on their campus five times already as a recruit. And he’s excited about the prospect of playing with star sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway should he go to Gainesville.
“A big one. True freshman, feels like he’ll get the ball to me — someone I’d trust,” Daniel said of how big a factor quarterback play will be for him. “Great player. He doesn’t get frustrated or nothing. He’s going to get you the ball regardless. He’ll get a lot better for sure.”
As a junior, he turned 38 receptions into 757 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Eagles.
He ranks as the nation’s No. 168 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Daniel also checks in as the nation’s No. 25 wide receiver and No. 10 recruit in the state of Alabama.
