5-star CB Kade Phillips flips commitment from LSU to Texas
Five-star cornerback Kade Phillips has flipped his commitment from LSU to Texas.
Phillips had been committed to the Tigers since August, when he previously flipped his pledge from the Longhorns.
“They have been pushing really hard to get me back to Texas,” he told On3. “Their message has been that they still want me and they want to show what they can do for me.”
He added: “Sark is building something big and I want be a part of that and have a impact.”
The Longhorns circled back in recent weeks, he said, and made it clear how much of a priority he was for them. After sitting down with his family and discussing both options, he made the decision.
“This was a tough decision with them being both great schools and the relationship I built with Coach Raymond,” he said. “I went back and forth a lot with it.”
