Aydin Breland took official visits to Georgia, Miami, Oregon and Texas A&M in June. One of those schools has been eliminated and it is Texas A&M. The No. 26 prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings has narrowed his list to three schools and the Bulldogs, Hurricanes and Ducks remain in contention.

Each school has given Breland something to think about. The five-star defensive lineman out of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei thought he could be committed by now, but he is not there yet.

“When I know, I will know and I will put out the date for my commitment,” Breland told On3. “It is still unknown right now. The race between Georgia, Miami and Oregon is tight – very tight. It is so evenly matched between those three schools right now. I am still working on finding the one.”

Breland will be in Athens this weekend to see Georgia host South Carolina. That is the only visit he has scheduled at this time, but one more could be taken.

“My visit to Georgia could be my last. I am just not sure yet. I might get up to an Oregon game before I make my decision, but I don’t have any plans after this visit to Georgia.

“My commitment could come during the season, or at the latest, right after the season. I think I am getting close, but things are still so equal between these schools.”

Breland said player development, academics and the family feel will be major factors in his decision.

Breland talks Georgia, Miami and Oregon

On Georgia: “Georgia speaks for itself. They are the No. 1 team in the country, they have the best defense in the country and they always produce defensive linemen for the NFL. Coach Tray Scott develops players and Georgia is just consistent. I have been there four or five times and I like the atmosphere. I will be back this weekend and it is a great opportunity to get back to Athens.”

On Miami: “Miami has some great coaches. It is about Coach Jason Taylor and Coach Joe Salave’a for me. I have a chance to go to Miami and get coached by two greats. Then I have a little bias towards them because Coach Mario Cristobal was the first coach to offer me. We have a great connection too. I got to know him when he was at Oregon.

On Oregon: “Oregon was a no-brainer for me to make this list. It has always felt like home. I have been there a lot, I know a lot of people there and they have been recruiting me for a long time. Coach Dan Lanning and Coach Tosh Lupoi makes me feel really welcome up there. Life after football is something I have to consider about Oregon too. Phil Knight is a big part of that and what they can do on and off the field.”
