5-star DL David Hicks names top 7 teams
Katy (Texas) Paetow five-star defensive lineman David Hicks has named Alabama, Miami, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and Texas A&M as his top seven teams.
Hicks is the No. 7 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He is also the No. 2 defensive lineman and No. 1 player from the state of Texas in the 2023 class.
While Hicks has named his top seven teams, it is widely believed he will be choosing between the Sooners and the Aggies.
Texas A&M is the current leader in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 59.5% chance of landing Hicks followed by Oklahoma at 35.5%. No other team is above 2%.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $243k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
