Five-star offensive lineman Devon Campbell of Arlington (Texas) Bowie has had a change of plans – again.
After canceling an original plan to head back to USC for a second official visit this weekend and replacing it with a trip to Georgia, Devon Campbell is no longer heading to Athens, according to On3 National Analyst Gerry Hamilton.
Hamilton said Campbell made the decision to not make the trip on Thursday. The 6-foot-3, 325-pound interior offensive lineman is now set to decide between Texas and USC with Oklahoma and Alabama also in the mix.
Devon Campbell is going to announce his decision on Jan. 2 at the Under Armour All-America Game in Orlando, Fla. But before then, one more coaching staff is scheduled to be in-home with him.
“Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and staff are doing an in-home visit with Devon (Thursday),” Hamilton said.

Devon Campbell went on an official visit to USC during the Clay Helton era of the Trojans. That meant he could go on a second visit to the school.
New USC head coach Lincoln Riley visited Campbell last Saturday and convinced him to take a visit to Los Angeles. But Campbell changed his mind and set up a Georgia visit.
But then, he reversed course again on Thursday.
Devon Campbell was originally planning on playing defensive line in college. But his high school coaches encouraged him to make the switch to the offensive line to “improve his chances of playing in the NFL.
Campbell says his uncle, who is also named Devon Campbell, is one of the most important people in his life. He is the defensive backs coach at Bowie and acts as the manager in his recruitment.
“He’s the main one asking the hard questions to see if it’s going to be fit for me,” Campbell said.
