5-star OT Lamont Rogers decommits from Missouri
Mesquite (Texas) Horn five-star offensive tackle Lamont Rogers has decommitted from Missouri.
He was pledged to the Tigers since July 6, but is now back on the board amidst a heavy push from Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-7 trench monster is the No. 18 overall prospect and No. 4 OT in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in Texas.
“After many thoughts, prayers and conversations with my family I have decided to decommit from the University of Missouri. I’d like to thank the Missouri staff for the opportunity and thank you B. Jones and M. Bland for your mentorship over the years,” Rogers wrote on X, announcing his decision.
Rogers has taken multiple visits to College Station to see A&M this fall as Mike Elko’s program continues to trend in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. The Aggies are working to land the Lone Star State standout, while Mizzou is now down to just one five-star commit in its 2025 class in quarterback Matt Zollers.
Rogers was a four-star recruit for the majority of the 2025 cycle, but earned the bump up to five-star status at the end of October. He’s now one of the top uncommitted prospects in the nation ahead of National Signing Day.

Texas A&M trending for Rogers
Rogers was back in College Station over the weekend and has now taken in four A&M games this fall. On3’s Steve Wiltfong was the first to predict Rogers to flip to the in-state school back on Oct. 5, and he still likes where things stand for Elko and Co.
“Rogers committed to Missouri on July 6. He’s however been a regular at Kyle Field this year. The On3 RPM reads the Aggies ultimately flipping the Mesquite (Texas) Horn blue-chipper. I still like my prediction,” Wiltfong wrote on Nov. 29.
“I am still trying to figure out what I want to do,” Rogers told On3 on Nov. 19. “With Texas A&M, what I like about them is what they have done in year one. I am impressed by that and what coach Elko and coach Cushing are doing.”
A&M currently has the No. 11 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and is also trending for another five-star in wide receiver Jerome Myles, who decommitted from USC on Sunday.
