Along with Louisville, Brown is also considering schools like Alabama, Ole Miss, UCF, and others.
In a previous interview with On3, Brown discussed the ‘Cards.
“That coaching staff was great last year. I think they were one of the best, if not the best, mid major last year in college basketball. So they’re definitely an underdog and I think they’re going to have a really good team this year, considering them going into the transfer portal. I think their roster is really great. The coaching staff has been great. They’ve been preaching to me that the ball is going to be in my hands. I would be making the plays and would have a big impact coming into the season next year.”
Brown Scouting Report
“Mikel Brown, Jr. is a point guard with a huge heart and basketball IQ. Brown has a developed skill set, one that allows him to play with the utmost confidence. He has a slick handle with great footwork, putting the ball in the right spots during a game. Brown is also a smooth shooter with deep and consistent range. His size will bring questions. He needs to add strength, and with that will come more burst and pop. He has an understanding of defensive concepts when it comes to footwork and rotations, but he will need to continue adding strength on that end as well. Brown is poised beyond his years with the ball in his hands and is the type of point guard who makes those around him better offensively.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
