Corona (Calif.) Centennial five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet has flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to USC, his father confirmed to On3’s Steve Wiltfong.

After initially choosing to head to the Lone Star State back in April, Longstreet will now stay within an hour of his hometown.

USC picked up steam with the 6-foot-1, 195-pound passer heading into his senior season of high school football. Longstreet then visited Los Angeles in early November.

As a junior, Longstreet transferred to Centennial and threw for 3,013 yards, 24 touchdowns and just six interceptions while also rushing for 645 yards and an additional seven scores. Earlier this summer, he was named a top performer at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles by On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power.

“[Longstreet] has a rocket launcher attached to his right shoulder. No quarterback on hand consistently threw with more velocity,” Power wrote. “He had multiple highlight throws including an absolute rope down the seam that went for a touchdown. Longstreet is a juiced-up athlete with considerable twitch to his game. While the arm talent was well established coming in, he showed improved accuracy and ability to layer his throws, as well.”

Through just eight games in 2024 following an early-season injury, Longstreet has thrown 1,425 yards and 18 touchdowns — adding another five on the ground.

Longstreet is the nation’s No. 23 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 4 quarterback in the class and the No. 2 recruit from California.
