Lehigh Acres (Fla.) Lehigh Senior five-star running back Richard Young is not messing around.

Just a few days after committing to Alabama, the nation’s No. 1 running back has set his eyes on getting another elite player to join him in the Crimson Tide recruiting class: Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep five-star EDGE and Notre Dame commit Keon Keeley.

“Mark my words I am gonna flip (Keeley) from Notre Dame,” Young tweeted.

Keeley is the No. 1 EDGE recruit in the nation and ranks third in the 2023 On300 ranking. Young is the No. 1 running back in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Young joined the recruiting class last Friday, the final bow on a fantastic month of recruiting for the Crimson Tide. Alabama has the No. 1 recruiting class in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking and a nation-high of four five-star prospects.

If Young gets his wish, that number would rise to five.

Keon Keeley visited Alabama this past weekend

Keon Keeley has been committed to Notre Dame for over a year, but he hasn’t closed down his recruitment.

He has continued to take visits during this time and spent this past weekend at Alabama, his second visit to the school this year. His mother, Janicke Keeley, told BamaInsider that Keeley felt comfortable in Tuscaloosa.

“It was a great day and a half at the University of Alabama,” Janicke Keeley said. “Great BBQ food, stadium visit, campus tour, and position meeting. We had a fantastic time. We had seen most before on our first visit. He likes everything about Alabama.”

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine now gives the Crimson Tide a 30.3% chance of flipping Keeley from the Fighting Irish.

Keeley currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $232k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
