Last month, Brandon (Miss.) Hartfield Academy five-star safety Bralan Womack re-shaped his top four, naming Florida, Texas A&M, Auburn and Ohio State as his finalists.

Womack has already locked in official visits to each school, but he’s planning to get back out on the road before then, too. On Tuesday, he told On3 that he’s locked in spring trips to Texas A&M (March 28), Ohio State (April 5) and Auburn (April 12).

When speaking with On3 last month, Womack noted that the race for his pledge was tight. His next two rounds of visits will help him whittle his list down to one before announcing a decision.

“There is a little separation between Ohio State and Texas A&M, the Auburn and Florida because they have been here longer,” Womack said. “Ohio State and A&M have been on me harder and with me longer, but Auburn and Florida have a great pitch, I like the changes at each school, they have great resources and all four schools have a great chance at landing me.”

Womack is the No. 18 overall prospect and top-ranked safety in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in Mississippi.

Womack breaks down four finalists

The elite defensive back previously broke down his interest in each of the four schools at the top of his list with On3:

Auburn: “Coach Freeze has kept it honest from the start. He is not a big portal guy. He always told me that he needed three classes, then he would do big things. Coach Freeze is not looking to build with veterans, but to build with kids out of high school like me.”

Florida: “They all about what they can offer me. They have a lot of resources in the building that can help get guys to the league. Playing in the league is my goal, so they push that they can make it happen with the resources, facilities and staff there.”

Ohio State: “They have the best shot to develop me and get me to the league. That is how the coaches at Ohio State feel. It is what they do every year. They are doing it with Caleb Downs now. Their message is, if you want to be the best, we have what you need to get there.”

Texas A&M: “Coach Elko has been honest and modest from the start. They have gotten some portal guys for what they lost, but they want high school kids. He is a head coach who has coached safties and he is a defensive guy, so we talk about that. He and coach Ish want to coach you Monday-Thursday, then turn you loose to be you and to play on Saturday from what you learned.”
