5-star SF Jalen Haralson on official visit to Michigan State this weekend
Jalen Haralson, a five-star small forward in the 2025 class, will be taking an official visit to Michigan State this weekend, a source confirms to On3.
The 6-foot-6 senior out of La Lumiere School unofficially visited East Lansing last November and will now return in an official capacity.
Haralson has previously taken official visits to Indiana, Notre Dame, and Auburn. He’s also scheduled to take trips to Purdue, Missouri, and Kansas in the coming weeks.

Haralson talks Michigan State
In a previous interview with On3’s Jamie Shaw, Haralson discussed the Spartans.
“Coach (Mark) Montgomery was the coach recruiting me, but he went to Detroit-Mercy. Since then, Coach TK (Thomas Kelley) has taken over. It’s always love with them, the full staff is recruiting me. Coach Saddi (Washington) was recruiting me at Michigan, now he’s at Michigan State, and he called me too. It’s a whole staff thing with them. That is one of the things I’m looking for, which coaching staff is the most interested in me, and Michigan State is at the top with that.”
Scouting Report
“Jalen Haralson has a sturdy frame, one that should take well to strength and conditioning programs without losing athleticism as he continues to move forward. He has good length as well. There are interesting aspects to Haralson’s game as a point-forward type. He has a solid handle as a mismatch forward, able to get his team into sets or push the break. He is also capable of initiating offense from different levels of the court. He is a quick processor with good floor vision. Haralson is a solid straight-line athlete. He has an understanding of team defense and angles. There are questions about his lateral quickness and his burst. The jump shot can be a weapon at this point, but he needs to continue drilling down its consistency. Some unique tools with his size and feel.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
