As Saint Louis (Mo.) University five-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo prepares to begin his senior season of high school football, his recruitment remains prevalent. The 6-foot-1.5, 210-pounder has drawn serious interest from a bevy of programs and is still yet to publicly whittle his offers down to a list of his top schools.

The No. 24 overall prospect, No. 7 WR and No. 2 player from Missouri in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, does still have a commitment date in mind, however. It was announced in July that Wingo plans to commit on Dec. 20, the first day of the NCAA Early National Signing period. He confirmed those plans on Monday, though it’s not set it stone.

“Probably December 20, but it could change,” Wingo said of his commitment date in an interview with JP Rock.

It’s been a hectic race for Wingo, as he’s taken multiple visits to 10 programs: Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M. Of those schools, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri and Texas received official visits in June. Wingo also told Rock that he currently has an official visit to Miami set up for Sept. 9.

“It’s a lot of schools that’s kind of made a good push at this last little stretch,” Wingo said. “i’m obviously committing a little later, so, we’ll see when it comes out.”

Missouri now leading for Wingo in On3 RPM

Mizzou is the new frontrunner to land Wingo’s pledge, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). On3 recruiting insider Sam Spiegelman logged a pick for the coveted wideout to Eli Drinkwitz’s Tigers with a 55% confidence level, giving Mizzou a 38.4% chance to win the recruitment. The Tigers have welcomed Wingo for six total visits, the most of any program. Texas (24.6%), Tennessee (15.7%) and Notre Dame (12.1%) are next in line behind the in-state SEC program, per the RPM.

“Multiple teams have circled in and out of favor with Wingo in recent months, but the Tigers have kept hanging tough,” Spiegelman wrote. “I’ve logged an RPM in favor of Missouri, and I like their chances of hanging until the end.”

Wingo is one of 10 five-stars in the On3 Industry Ranking that’s yet to commit. Missouri is also in the running for Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Williams Nwaneri, the No. 3 overall player in the cycle who’s set to announce his decision on Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. ET The Tigers lead for Nwaneri in the On3 RPM at 67.8%.

Wingo currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $228K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
