AAC basketball Sixth Man of the Year Ricky Council enters transfer portal

Wichita State guard Ricky Council entered the NCAA transfer portal Thursday afternoon, On3 has learned.

Council, the AAC Sixth Man of the Year, averaged 12 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this past season.

Council, a Durham, North Carolina native and former three-star recruit, averaged 7.1 points per game as a freshman in 2020-21 and was an AAC All-Freshman Team selection.
