Top-30 recruit Acaden Lewis to officially visit Kentucky for Big Blue Madness
Acaden Lewis, one of the top point guards in the country, will take an official visit to the Kentucky Wildcats this weekend for Big Blue Madness, he told On3. Lewis unofficially visited Mark Pope and company in June and will now return to Lexington in the official capacity.
The 6-foot-3 four-star senior out of Sidwell Friends (D.C.) is considering Kentucky along with Duke and UConn.
Lewis is the No. 30 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 5 point guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Scouting Report
“Acaden Lewis is a crafty lefty, able to utilize and array of hesitation dribbles and changes of space to get to his spots in the half-court. A lot of Lewis’ play is with his left hand, oftentimes using his right hand to set up his left. He looks to score the ball when the ball is in his hands. Has range that extends well beyond the arc. He is confident from deep and has footwork to create clear space with various side steps and step backs. Lewis can be a half beat late on passing reads in the half-court. He needs to tighten his shot selection, keeping his head up when running an offense. Lewis has a nice floater in the paint and can knock down a pull up jump shot. Defensively, he has quick hands and solid anticipation, but his results can be spotty, especially with quicker or bigger guards. There is a smoothness to his game and Lewis has put up some big numbers, and what he has in spades is confidence.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw

Lewis a standout at NBPA Top-100 Camp
Earlier this summer, On3’s Jamie Shaw listed Acaden Lewis as one of the standouts at the NBPA Top-100 Camp.
“Acaden Lewis continued his hot play from the spring and ended the week as one of the camp’s big stock risers. The lefty is a crafty player, able to get to his spots into the teeth of the defense in the half-court. What makes him the biggest threat is his ability to keep his dribble live. Lewis finished with an array of floaters, finishes at the rim, or pull-up jump shots throughout the week. Defensively, he was impressive, heating up the ball in the open floor and using his quick hands and feet to be pesky guarding the ball. He also distributed the ball well showing comfort in the pick and roll and in the open floor. Lewis’ consistent play had a lot of onlookers talking.
“It has been a steep trend upward over the past 12 months for four-star Acaden Lewis. He plays with an excellent pace, keeping a live dribble at all times and taking what the defense gives him. The lefty get into the paint using a crafty handle and excellent pace. The jump shot is consistent and he does a lot of damage in the mid range. He started the day with a 23 point outing and ended it with a 26 point game. He remains a constant threat because he keeps a live dribble deep into the teeth of the defense.”
