A new era of ACC football is upon us, with three new members joining next year. While there will be a ton of immediate interest in the 2024 schedules, the conference has announced opponents through the 2030 season. There will be no surprises as to who will pop up on the calendar for at least the next half-decade.

There are some protected games you will notice throughout the years. Having rivalry matchups available for television was always going to be a priority for the ACC. However, with Cal and Stanford being on the West Coast, they both set to play SMU on a yearly basis to reduce travel.

ACC teams will have a lot to look forward to with the new-look conference. By the time some of these games do get played, programs could look completely different from how they do now. With the 12-team playoff knocking on the door, a ton of opportunities to compete on a national level will present itself as well.

ACC 2025 and 2026 conference opponents

When the ACC added Cal and Stanford into the mix, a lot was made about East Coast teams having to fly across the country to play a conference game. Unfortunately, there is not much the ACC can do and throughout the years, some long distances are going to have to be flown.

For now, exact dates for the matchup have not been announced. You have to assume the ACC will make sure the schedule does not get compact when teams are traveling to Berkley and Palo Alto.

2027 and 2028 conference opponents

Having 17 teams in the ACC, only one other Power Five conference will have more going forward. The Big Ten will have 18 members after their own West Coast additions. However, they play nine conference games on an annual basis.

The ACC is going to stick with eight games, something the SEC may be looking at as well. But Greg Sankey has one less team to worry about, adding Texas and Oklahoma โ€” the two schools that really kicked off this round of conference realignment.

2029 and 2030 conference opponents

By the time the 2029 college football season reaches, the sport could look entirely different. In just the space of a summer, the landscape nearly changed. Looking back in six yearโ€™s time could be interesting.

Either way, the ACC is looking to be prepared. There will be seven seasons worth of data with the scheduling model they are working with and if needed, adjustments surely can be made.

Even this far down the line, some things are not going to change about the ACC. In-state rivalries are going to continue, while matchups such as Clemsonโ€“Florida State will still occur. Itโ€™s an exciting change for the conference while keeping the conferenceโ€™s old-school feel.
