ACC announces 2024 football schedule following conference realignment

Just one year after changing up the scheduling model, the ACC has once again rolled out a new format for football. The 3-3-5 was implemented for the 2023 season, doing away with divisions. But three new teams are set to be in the conference for the 2024 season and a new system was needed.

Cal, SMU, and Stanford will officially become ACC members this summer which will be the beginning of a new era. The moves are just the latest to come in the ongoing cycle that is conference realignment. Now, 17 teams will be in the ACC, making it the second-largest power conference in the country, just behind the Big Ten.

There are permanent opponents included in the long-term schedule, with the ACC looking to protect some of their top rivalries. A good mix of old-school matchups with some new-look opponents is there for a few members. For now, here is the 2024 schedule for the new-look ACC.
