ACC men's basketball announces 2022-23 conference slate with tipoffs, TV designations
College hoops will be here before we know it. Another bellwether is blowing the way of the hardwood with the ACC announcing its full conference slate with TV designations and tipoff times.
While the occasional blizzard or other oddity has tweaked a basketball schedule or two in the past, this is basically a Rosetta stone for any East Coast hoops observer. From Duke hosting Jacksonville at 7 p.m. on ACC Network to open things on Nov. 7 to the entire slate for the ACC/Big Ten challenge — featuring preseason No. 1 North Carolina playing at Indiana on Nov. 30 on ESPN at 9 p.m. — to Clemson hosting Notre Dame at 8 p.m. to cap things off before the conference tournament, it’s all there.
“We are thrilled to announce this year’s ACC men’s basketball schedule as there is tremendous anticipation surrounding the upcoming season,” said ACC commissioner Jim Philips in the release outlining the lineup. “The schedule will once again feature incredibly competitive games and we look forward to watching our amazing student-athletes and programs compete for championships. There’s never a shortage of excitement when it comes to ACC basketball – especially after another incredible postseason that our league enjoyed last year – and we appreciate our television partners making every game accessible to our fans.”
Fitting with the conference’s television contract with ESPN, the bulk of the games will be either on some ESPN network, including ACC Network and ACC Network Extra. Additionally, 43 games are slated to be broadcast by the ACC’s regional sports network partners.
