The dates for each ACC team’s 2023 spring game have been announced by each conference member. The April showcases will be the culmination of a hard-working spring for many programs.

In addition, the practice schedules for the teams have also been released. Some teams have already taken to the practice field this spring.

Below are the 2023 Spring Game dates for the ACC.

ACC Spring Game Dates

Boston College: Practice is March 3-April 15. Game is April 15.

After winning six games in each of his first two seasons, Jeff Hafley watched his Boston College team drop to a 3-9 record in 2022. Which direction the team will go in this year will likely say a lot about whether last year was just a dip or if it was a dive.

Clemson: Practice is March 6-April 11. Game is April 15.

The Cade Klubnik era at Clemson officially started at the end of the 2022 season but it will move into full gear this offseason. The 2022 ACC champions finished last season with the best record in the ACC at 11-3, which led to a top-13 final national ranking. But the Tigers will need to be better than that in 2023 to return to the College Football Playoff.

Duke: Practice begins March 24. Game is April 22.

Year 1 under Mike Elko was an unmitigated success for Duke. After going 3-9 with zero ACC wins in 2021, Elko orchestrated a six-win turnaround, including five wins in the conference. What Elko can do in Year 2 will be one of the most fun stories to watch this year.

Florida State: Practice is March 6-April 17. Game is April 15.

Mike Norvell entered the 2022 season on the hot seat after his Florida State career got off to a shaky, at best, start. But from beating LSU on opening weekend to a bowl game win over Oklahoma, the Seminoles were one of the surprise teams of the season. Now, it is about sustaining that momentum and continuing to build it.

Georgia Tech: Practice is March 13-April 15. Game is April 15.

Brent Key‘s 4-4 performance as interim head coach in Georgia Tech’s final eight games in 2022 led to the interim tag being taken off the job description. The Yellow Jackets have not made a bowl game since the 2018 season. This offseason will be critical in getting the team in position to do that once again.

Louisville: Practice begins March 21. Game is April 21.

After rumblings about the potential of returning to his alma mater in recent years, former Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm is back at Louisville. He returns to the program with a group that finished 8-5 last season and won his bowl game. While some teams need time to regroup after a new coaching hire, Brohm has the potential to have the Cardinals in contention very quickly.

Miami: Practice is March 4-April 14, Game is April 14.

Expectations are always high for Miami. But last year did not go at all how Mario Cristobal wanted it when he returned to his alma mater from Oregon. The team finished 5-7 and missed out on bowl eligibility. Year 2 is going to be critical to righting the ship.

NC State: Practice is March 1-April 8. Game is April 8.

Devin Leary transferred to Kentucky but NC State managed to snag Brennan Armstrong in the transfer portal from Virginia. Armstrong’s numbers dipped quite significantly last season compared to his 2022 stats but the left-hander has the potential to be one of the top players in the conference.

North Carolina: Practice is March 5-April 15. Game is April 15.

All eyes will be on Drake Maye, the likely Preseason Player of the Year, as North Carolina will enter the 2023 season with high expectations. The Tar Heels started 9-1 before losing four straight, including the ACC Championship Game, to end the season. Whether Maye can turn the team into true College Football Playoff contenders remains to be seen.

Pitt: Practice is March 14-April 15. Game is April 15.

It was another more-than-solid season for Pitt in 2022. Despite losing Kenny Pickett in the draft, the Panthers finished with nine wins, a bowl victory and a final ranking in the AP Top 25. They also won five games to end the season, which could lead to some major momentum to start 2023.

Syracuse: Practice is March 20-April 21. Game is April 21.

In very Syracuse fashion, the Orange opened the season with six straight wins to set up a big-time matchup with Clemson. They almost pulled off the upset in Death Valley but then lost four games after that before ending the regular season with one final victory.

Virginia: Practice is March 14-April 15. Game is April 15.

Virginia’s 2022 season, the first one under Tony Elliott, will forever be remembered for the tragic on-campus shooting in November. The team has not played a game since the deaths of Lavel Davis Jr., Devin Chandler and D’Sean Perry. There is no doubt those players will be on the team’s mind when they take the field again.

Virginia Tech: Practice is March 16-April 15. Game is April 15.

Brent Pry‘s rebuild at Virginia Tech did not get off to any surprise starts as he went just 3-8 in his first season on the job. But the former Penn State defensive coordinator will look for continued growth as the Hokies aim to reach a bowl game once again.

Wake Forest: Practice is March 16-April 15. Game is April 15.

Sam Hartman left for Notre Dame, which is a major blow to the program. Hartman was a key component to Wake Forest’s recent success, including an Atlantic Division title in 2021. However, the team did regress somewhat in 2022, going from 7-1 to 3-5 in conference.
