Adidas 3SSB: Day 3 sights, sounds, and coach watch
Spartanburg, South Carolina – Day three is the final day of the Adidas 3SSB session two live period. On3 is in the midst of all the action; here are the coaches and the players they are watching.
8AM 17u Team Loaded Va (VA) vs. Utah Prospects (UT)
Coach Watch: Assistants from BYU, UNC, Mississippi State, Radford, Ole Miss, Marquette, Davidson, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Richmond, Rhode Island
It is 8AM, and there are no head coaches in the gym, but the assistants are in full force, going from court to court.
Team Loaded is led by 2023 On3 Consensus No. 42 Dennis Parker, Jr. UNC was watching, and Marquette and Ole Miss have been at multiple games of his this season. An ultimate glue guy who loves doing the little things to help a team win a game.
One of the big stock risers from Session 1 for Team Loaded Va was 6-foot-9 post, Carter Lang. He continues to do a lot for his stock, finishing with another double-double in front of about 20 coaches, including Georgia Tech, Richmond, and Davidson.
Davidson was also keeping a close eye on 6-foot-11 2023 Bron Roberts from the Utah Prospects. The lengthy forward claims offers from Southern Utah and Stanford. He showed three-point range and some rim protection.
Utah Prospects point guard Christian Hammond played a tough floor game. Watch for 6-foot-10 unsigned senior Jaxon Heiden; he had an intriguing showing.
The game went into overtime, Carter Lang knocked down the final bucket. Lang finished with 12 and 12. Hammond had 18 and Davin Crosby 11.
9:15 AM 17u Game Elite (GA) vs. Mass Rivals (MA)
Coach Watch: Danny Hurley (UConn), Mike White (Georgia), with assistants from Iowa, UMass, Yale, Wake Forest, Boston College, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Temple, etc.
Coaches started to trickle in as the eight o’clock hour turned to nine and the sidelines filled up. Kur Teng was the main attraction from Mass Rivals. The 2024 6-foot-4 shooting guard was a DNP in this one, however.
With Mass Rivals, 2024 George Turkson is quickly gaining traction with college coaches. 2023 Jordan Clayton did a lot for himself with his shooting ability.
For Game Elite Jaiun Simon is an intriguing player. The 6-foot-5 wing showed confident initiation skills and some deft passing. He has early Kennesaw State and Georgia State offers.
10:30 AM 17u Compton Magic (CA) vs. Elite 6 (CAN)
Coach Watch: Danny Hurley (UConn), Mike Schwartz (East Carolina), Mark Adams (Texas Tech), with assistants from Miami, Kansas, Kentucky, Purdue, Indiana, Oregon, Saint Mary’s, Clemson, New Mexico, etc.

ND coach addresses NFL rumors
Fisher is a strong-framed wing out of Toronto, Canada. He has confident ball skills in the half-court and is explosive at the rim. He rebounded the ball at a high rate in this one. The crowd also lost its mind early in the second half as Fisher had one of the dunks of the summer to this point (see below). He was the best player on the floor for this game, finished with 32 points.
Stojakovic is a skilled guard. His handle has improved and he is confident as a secondary guy, getting his team into sets. Naturally, the jump shot on Stojakovic is his calling card, but you can see him getting into the mid-range off one and two dribbles.
Koa Peat is a big name, trending toward the top of his class. His brother was a first-round draft pick, an offensive lineman, out of Stanford. Still a 2025, major college programs are prioritizing the skilled wing.
UConn and Clemson were watching 2023 Darius Carr and after the explosive performance he put on this weekend, more should start to turn up the heat.
2:15 PM 16u Indiana Elite (IN) vs. Southeast Elite (FL)
Coach Watch: Matt Painter (Purdue), Kermit Davis (Ole Miss), Micah Shrewsberry (Penn State) with coaches from Oregon, Vanderbilt, Iowa, etc.
It is the last game set of the day and ’24 Flory Bidunga has taken the Adidas 3SSB Circuit by storm. Head coaches stuck around to see the 6-foot-9 Congo native put up another double-double. The lefty’s continual array of vicious dunks and traffic rebounds have been impressive.
The straw that stirs the Indiana Elite drink is 6-2 point guard Travis Perry. He plays with such a confidence, he gets to all his spots off the bounce and can dial up his own shot from multip levels. Ole Miss and WEstern Kentucky both offered this weekend, Kermit Davis and an assistant were courtside until the end.
Also, keep an eye for 6-8 Cooper Koch is a fundamentally sound forward. He has a bit of a reputation with some early offers and he knocked down some shots, rebounded his area well.
While the game was not very close, 6-6 2024 Chris Arias for Southeast Elite is a very intriguing player with his size, skill set, and vision.
Perry led all scorers with 24 points, he was four for five from three. Bidunga had ten and Koch nine.
