2024 EDGE Ahmad Breux decommits from Duke
Ruston (LA.) three-star EDGE Ahmad Breaux has decommitted from Duke. Breaux’s decision comes a day after he visited LSU and picked up an offer from the Tigers.
Breaux had been committed to Duke since Jan. 26 but said that the offer from LSU was ‘insanely big’.
Breaux is the No. 853 overall prospect and No. 58 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 20 player in Louisiana.
“My experience on this Junior Day visit was by far one of the best I’ve ever had,” Breaux told On3 following the LSU visit. “Coach Kelly, JR Belton, Coach Cain, Coach House, along with the rest of the staff welcomed me to this campus with a totally different energy that you can’t get anywhere else. It felt like home, being a kid born and raised in South Louisiana.”

With Breaux’s decommitment, Duke now has six commitments in its 2024 recruiting class. The Blue Devils’ class ranks as the No. 38 class in the country and No. 7 in the ACC.
Ahmad Breaux currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $22K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
