The New Orleans Saints are hiring Alabama analyst Todd Grantham as an assistant coach, a source tells On3.

Grantham, a former defensive coordinator at places such as Florida (2018-21), Mississippi State (2017), Louisville (2014-16) and Georgia (2010-13), previously worked in the NFL from 1999 to 2009.

He spent the 2022 season as an analyst at Alabama and had been a candidate for the Crimson Tide’s defensive coordinator opening.

His most recent NFL job was as the Dallas Cowboys defensive line coach in 2008 and 2009. He was previously the Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator (2005-07) and a defensive line coach with the Houston Texans (2002-04) and Indianapolis Colts (1999-2001).
