Alabama improves to 9-4 and now will sit and wait to see if it can crack the final 12-team College Football Playoff bracket. The Crimson Tide can’t make the SEC title game, but they captured their fifth consecutive Iron Bowl win.

Trying to push the ball downfield, Auburn quarterback Payton Thorne was picked off by cornerback Zabien Brown to clinch the Iron Bowl win for Alabama. The Crimson Tide lead 28-14 with 2:29 remaining and will take over on their 38-yard line.

Alabama put together a 13-play, 56-yard drive but was forced to punt, Auburn takes over on its 3-yard line with 3:57 remaining. Alabama leads 28-14.

Auburn attempted a trick play early in the fourth quarter, trying to pull off a double pass. Instead running back Jarquez Hunter was picked off by Alabama safety Bray Hubbard.

Cam Coleman notches first Iron Bowl TD

Auburn quarterback Payton Thorne found Cam Coleman deep for a 29-yard touchdown, cutting into Alabama’s lead. The Tigers converted the two-point conversion, making it 28-14 with 2:31 remaining in the third quarter.

Iron Bowl fight breaks out

A sideline fight broke out after an incomplete Auburn pass, with Alabama and Auburn being flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.

After taking over in the red zone, Auburn was not able to score a touchdown and was forced to settle for a field goal. Ian Vachon’s 25-yard field goal before the half makes it 14-6.

Jalen Milroe strip-sacked

Auburn defensive lineman Jalen McLeod sacked Auburn quarterback Jalen Milroe on his blind side, popping the ball loose which was recovered by the Tigers. Auburn takes over on the Alabama 34-yard line.

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe rushed for his second touchdown of the day, punching it in on a quarterback sneak. Milroe has 52 rushing yards and 114 passing yards. His rushing touchdown capped off a 12-play, 75-yard drive.
