No. 4 Kentucky vs. No. 25 Alabama Preview
Kentucky’s six-game winning streak was ended Tuesday night in Knoxville after the Wildcats dropped their rematch against Tennessee 76-63 in their worst loss of the 2021-22 season. During that win streak, however, Kentucky took down Alabama in Tuscaloosa 66-55 on Feb. 5.
Five Wildcats scored in double figures in their first matchup, four of which scored 10 points (Oscar Tshiebwe, Keion Brooks, Kellan Grady, Daimion Collins) while TyTy Washington scored a game-high 15 points. The only difference this time — Washington won’t be on the court due to an ankle injury.
What Alabama needs to improve on this go around is its shooting. In their first meeting, the Crimson Tide shot an abysmal 18-64 (28.1 percent), including 3-30 (10 percent) from beyond the arc. The only member of the Tide’s squad to score more than eight points was seven-foot freshman Charles Bediako, who notched 12 points on 4-4 shooting.
