Disruptive pass rusher Jamarion 'Juice' Matthews commits to Alabama

Gainesville (Ga.) High On300 edge rusher Jamarion Matthews announced his commitment to Alabama on Friday afternoon.
The blue-chipper told Freddie Roach he was going to ride with the Crimson Tide on Thursday. He visited attended the program’s Elite Junior Day earlier this month.
Tabbed by On3 as the nation’s No. 12 edge and No. 112 prospect overall, the 6-foot-3, 240-pound Matthews was also recruited by Jatavis Sanders.
Matthews visited Alabama several times during his process including the Iron Bowl to end the regular season.

“I love the atmosphere and the energy of the fans and the players at Bama,” Matthews said.
Matthews chose Alabama over an offer list that included Clemson, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Florida and Vanderbilt. He is commit No. 3 for DeBoer and his staff in the 2026 cycle joining fellow On300 recruit in cornerback Zyan Gibson and four-star offensive lineman Chris Booker.
Matthews had 57 tackles including 29 stops for loss, and 17 sacks as a junior.
“Super productive,” On3 Director of Scouting Charles Power stated. “One of the more productive pass rusher as a junior in 2026. A guy who wins with his quickness and effort level. Finds ways to get to the passer. Hyper competitive and a good combination of get off and play strength.”
